Issues of farmers

The country which has a population of 1.25 billion, and 70 percent of the country’s population is based on agriculture, the farmer of that country is still forced to commit suicide, so what can be a big irony? The farmer who gives us food, which is our food adder, is compelled to commit that same farmer is forced to commit suicide. These are the consequences of wrong policies of all governments. Even after 70 years of independence, farmers commit suicide, then the government is completely failed.

Even after independence, the matter of any kind of land and crop management does not appear in any corner of the country and on the ad-hoc basis, the people who manage policies and management are not aware of this area. If this policy should be formulated at the national level, how much is the consumption of various commodities within the country and in what area it is, how much storage is required for the future? Also, how much we will be able to export.

It is necessary to make changes in the policy of land acquisition by the Central / State Governments or various development authorities constituted under the state in view of arable land. For industrial development, infrastructure development and residential plans, land should be subjected to arable land which is not suitable for agriculture. The acquisition of land such as barren waste and which has very low crop yields. The acquisition of land and the construction on the agricultural land should be restricted.

The problem is that the farmers come to Delhi, even when no one listens, they come into the media, even then nobody makes any difference. It is not that the government does not claim to do anything, even after all its claims and plans and their website, the crisis of agriculture comes out from where. Farmers have come back to Jantar-Mantar again. The All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh brought out the Kisan Mukti Yatra, which has reached Delhi through six states. More than 150-200 farmers’ organizations of the country are supporting this journey. Apart from peasant leaders on stage, children of farmers who committed suicide for the first time also shared their grief with the people of Delhi. In the hope that people of Delhi would be heard.

In addition, about 67 per cent of the women said that the income from farming is inadequate to run the household expenses. Not surprisingly, about 47 per cent of the respondents said that according to them, the situation of the farmers is ‘bad’ and overall ‘bad’. This survey mentions the intention of farmers to quit farming, but they do not want to completely escape from agriculture.According to available data of census, the number of farmers has decreased. In 1991, there were 11 crore farmers in the country, and in 2001, their number decreased to 10.3 crore, compared to the figure and shrunk to 9.58 crore in 2011. This means that more than 2,000 farmers are disillusioned with the farming day by day.

Bharat Peoples Sena Party is a party of common people, they stand together with their shoulders in every trouble of the farmers.
